MJ's is laid up with her white guy in her bed, who has grown tired of laying up in the house with her. He wants to take her on a proper date and will do all the planning. Yes, grown man!!

This would make most women happy, but not so much MJ. She's a public figure who blogs follow and she's worried about the perception others are going to have of her if they find out she's dating a white man.

Girl, they talked about Jesus. They will absolutely talk about you too. Just go on and live your life and be happy.

We’re picking up right where we left off last week. Papa Paul is at MJ’s house and still in a tizzy over Patrick using prescription drugs. MJ is upset that the family ambushed Patrick when they were just supposed to talk. Papa ain’t feeling it. “Are so used to protecting adults, we no longer know what it’s like to fight for our children,” he retorts.

Papa Patterson goes to see about his coughing wife while MJ head off to pick up D’Asia, who is staying by Kara’s doing her homework. MJ sits in the car practicing how to tell D’Asia she’s not going home to her dad without freaking the kid out.

We’re having a BBQ with the Pauls. The fam’s all there, minus PJ, who works in LA. Oh, and David, who ain’t blood, but was treated like family, until he was summarily dismissed after the Pauls discovered he had relations with Lisa. Mark my words, he’ll be back. We haven’t seen the last of David.

Patrick is on the grill telling his dad how well he’s doing at work. Dad is so proud. Would he be if he knew Patrick was back on drugs?  

MJ’s cutie patootie stylist has come thru! He shows up on her birthday with the "summer bag", a  red Birkin, that MJ’s been feigning for. MJ is gaga for it, but not for the price.

“How much is it?” she asks, knowing the answer (If I knew, she knew). She very reluctantly hands over her American Express to her shame-y stylist for a 30k swipe. “It’s an investment,” she rationalizes. Um… luxury goods depreciate the second you buy them, like cars.
