I have to admit, I was a little art-ed out by the time I hit up the Context Art Fair. I’d bought a bulk pass to Context along with the Aqua Miami and the Context “sister” fair Art Miami in order to the get the discount. LOL. Otherwise, I might have missed this one—and what a shame that would have been because it’s a really good exhibition.
It’s a new addition to Art Week at just three years old. The focus is mid-career artists, a distinction that matters when it comes to the cost of the work, and perhaps the access the artist gets, but means nothing to me when it comes to appreciating the actual art.
I rushed though this one—it was the first sunny day and I wanted to spend as much time as possible outdoors—but I still saw some great pieces that I would love to own someday.
